REPAK Accredited MRF Sampling and auditing services:

Highlander International Recycling are well established in the market for providing reliable outlets for sorted recovered materials of a good quality.

As part of our commitment to suppliers in the Republic of Ireland we are now in a position to offer a REPAK Accredited MRF sampling service for Kerbside collected packaging waste. As you know, Registered Service providers with Repak are obliged to undertake characterisation and compositional analysis studies for packaging waste recovery that occurs via REPAK accredited Material Recovery Facilities (MRF's).  

The undertaking of the studies of this nature are a condition of service to REPAK and Highlander aim to make the provision of this service as efficient as possible with minimum disruption to client operations.

Highlander will provide an independant, objectiveand professional service providing quantitative information in terms of recovery and recycling of packaging waste that is received by the client MRF. This information can then be used by the client to verify REPAK payment scheme (RPS) eligible packaging waste quantities collected & recovered during each contract year.

Highlander will carefully examine and determine:

• Overall profile of total dry mixed recyclables received by the MRF
• Volume of mixed packagaing / non-packaging produced by the MRF which can be claimed via REPAK

Technical assessments will be undertaken by a trained representative of Highlander International Recycling in line with industry best practice and guidance and a report issued that will be clear, concise and comprehensive.

This service will be undertaken and provided in line with the stipulations detailed in the REPAK Accredited MRF Sampling Standard Operating Procedures kerbside Packaging Waste Recovery studies (August 2009). {See below link for for details of these stipulations}
